The Swing at the old barn

It was raining today, so naturally I sought out an abandoned building to take pictures of. I’ll have the rest up in a day or two, but for now here’s a moving cinegraph of the swing that was in front of the barn. Also, I found what appears to be a full street of abandoned and burned homes near by so expect more in the near future!

The swing was getting blown by the wind the whole time I was there

  1. This is amazing. I saw you check out one of my blog posts and I checked out your blog. This post of yours actually inspired me to do something such as this, a GIF image too. Thank you for visiting my blog and…well for this inspiration I got from your Photo.

  2. Terrific photo, but it brings back a childhood memory. A friend’s family had a very similar swing on the farm they inherited from a great uncle. Her mother had tied an old blanket around the swing because of rough places and splinters. When her brother pushed her high, she caught her leg between the rope and the blanket and was hanging by her leg.
If she ever finishes the novel about her life on that old farm, I’m sending her to you to create the book cover!
