Kingston Launch

Here’s a little thing I shot on my phone while boarding the Kingston ferry yesterday.

From Above

As the Memorial Day fair was being set up in Portland.

Tiny Cone

This was an experiment with doing macro time-lapse. (The pinecone is about the size of your thumbnail) I thought it would be interesting to have shadows move over the pinecone, but it turned out it was much more interesting just having it in the sun and watching it open up some. I will definitely be… Continue reading Tiny Cone

Forest Path Shadows

Pools of light are the most mobil pools around. Honestly I was taking a nap on the side of the trail over the 30 minutes or so this was cooking. The temperature was just too comfortable not to.

The Freeway

When I find someplace that I think is pretty, I’ll sit there and watch the world happen.

Old Train Bridge

While waiting for this time-lapse I kept myself busy under seemingly still skies. Watching it after the fact was mesmerizing┬áto see the turmoil that was actually happening above me. (Sorry about the big file, I didn’t have the heart to make it shorter)

Rolling Clouds

Last week I took a much needed day off and time-lapsed a few clouds. I love watching time-lapse of clouds. It gives them life and movement that are almost impossible to grasp by just watching them in person. Soon as to changes the speed and context though, they give the sky a mood and a… Continue reading Rolling Clouds

The Lovely Things at the Zoo

Today I went to the zoo with my buddy. T’was a lovely time and we’ll being going again in a couple weeks! As has become the norm, this was shot on my phone. Phones are pretty crazy these days.

Seattle Monorail in 10 Seconds

A little video segment nabbed during today’s commute. Shot on my old iPhone 4s and cleaned up in After Effects.

The Campthing

Here are a few more from camping. (Click the images to see them larger) This was right as we were leaving. I got my camera set up right as we were about to leave to do a quick time-lapse of our camping spot. About three pictures into that, this thing appeared. I stopped the water… Continue reading The Campthing
